MORRISON, IL : A Morrison man was taken to the hospital early morning following an accident on Monday, June 19, 2017

A Morrison man was taken to the hospital early Monday morning following an accident northeast of the city.

According to the Whiteside County Sheriff's Department, deputies were dispatched at 4:35 a.m. Monday for a single vehicle roll-over crash on Mathew Road near Blue Goose Road. According to deputies, James O. Green, 48, swerved to miss deer and his vehicle left the roadway, striking a tree and rollinv over.

Mr. Green was transported to CGH Medical Center in Sterling for treatment by MCH EMS. The sheriff's department was assisted by Morrison Police, MCH EMS, Morrison Fire and Hunter’s Towing.
