Portsmouth, NH: Five injured when car crashes into tree in Portsmount on Tuesday, August 4th 2015

A dozing driver might be to blame for a single-car crash in Portsmouth, according to authorities.A Honda Civic, driven by Arifin Tanady, of Lowell, Massachusetts, was traveling on Elwyn Road toward Route 1 around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, police said. The car crossed the center line and traveled into the opposite shoulder before striking a tree.Authorities said Tanady and his four adult passengers were all wearing seat belts. They were treated and released at the scene.Police said the crash is under investigation, but witnesses say the driver may have fallen asleep.
