A 65-year-old Orofino man was involved in a two-vehicle crash May near Bliss, according to the Idaho State Police (ISP)
On May at approximately 4:25 p.m., ISP investigated a two-vehicle, injury crash eastbound I84 at milepost 135, two miles west of Bliss.
Jaydee Glandon, 65, of Orofino, was eastbound in the right lane in a 1970 Ford pickup. Charles Chiodo, 73, of Winnsboro, TX, was eastbound on I84 behind the Ford, in a 2015 Kenworth semi pulling a single trailer.
According to the ISP report, the Kenworth struck the Ford from behind, and the Ford went off the right shoulder. The semi parked on the right shoulder, according to ISP.
Both Chiodo and Glandon were wearing seatbelts, according to ISP. Glandon was transported to the North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding by ground ambulance, and then to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by air ambulance, according to ISP. There was no road blockage.
The Idaho State Police were assisted by the Gooding County Sheriff’s Office. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
