Investigators have arrested a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that killed two pedestrians Monday on Cleveland's East Side.
The suspect has not yet been charged in the crash that killed a man and a woman on East 93rd Street near Benham Avenue, police said.
Leo Pinkard, 63, of Maple Heights, and Denise Bradley, 55, of Cleveland died in the crash, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office said.
An SUV struck them early Monday while they were crossing East 93rd Street near Benham Avenue. The driver did not stop after the crash, police said.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, was arrested later Monday on East 104th Street near Benham Avenue. Investigators recovered the SUV, a dark-colored Chevrolet, when they arrested the driver, police said.
