LAS VEGAS, NV ; 9-year-old dies in fatal DUI crash in North Las Vegas on Saturday, 3rd August 2024

A child died Saturday afternoon after a suspected DUI crash, according to the North Las Vegas Police Department.

The two-vehicle crash involving a Chevrolet Corvette and a Jeep SUV happened near Ann Road and Simmons Street just after 4 p.m., according to NLVPD.

Officers say a 9-year-old girl was a passenger in the Corvette and was unresponsive when they arrived.

Several bystanders were trying to perform lifesaving measures on her when police arrived on the scene.
