Highway worker stuck, killed on Maryland
Maryland State Police say State Highway Administration worker was killed when he was hit by a car on Interstate 695 in White Marsh.
Troopers say about 11 a.m. Thursday, a car driven by 61-year-old Mary T. Levy of Pikesville was traveling on the interstate when it left the road and continued on the shoulder.Police say the car hit 50-year-old Eddie Gliyard of Baltimore, a 25-year veteran of the SHA who was repairing a road sign. Officers say a second SHA worker, 38-year-old Nathan A. Brown of Middle River, was not hit but was injured.Troopers say Gliyard was pronounced dead at the scene.
