Kosciusko County ,IN :18-year-old man killed after Fatal Alcohol Crash on on Wednesday morning ,August 12th 2015

The Kosciusko County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team is investigating an accident that resulted in the death of an 18-year-old man on Wednesday morning. The accident occurred around 11 a.m. on County Road 500 South, east of Indiana 19. FACT team investigators believe that a car driven by Jordan Anthony Shafter, 18, of Rochester, was traveling east on County Road 500 South when his car went off the south edge of the road. Shafter lost control of the car and it began to roll on the gravel surface, ejecting him approximately 40 feet into a tree line area. He died after being ejected. The passenger, Cole Allen Dowd, 19, of Mentone, was transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, where he is listed in serious condition.
