Wakefield,MI : Driver killed in truck crash on June, Friday 2nd 2017

A 30-year-old Trout Creek woman died in an accident Friday in Ontonagon County.

The young woman, identified Monday as Sheena Malnar, was eastbound on M-28 west of Agate Falls about 11:30 a.m. when the loaded dump truck she was driving left the highway, crashed through the guardrail and rolled over, resulting in her death.

The Michigan State Police Wakefield Post reported no one else was in the dump truck at the time of the accident but declined further comment since the incident remains under investigation.

Assisting on the scene were the Bruce Crossing and Trout Creek volunteer fire departments, SONCO Ambulance, Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Lac Vieux Desert Tribal Police Department.
