A man from San Bernardino died after the Rialto Police Department said he crashed into a tractor trailer on Tuesday evening.
Police said in a statement the crash happened at around 6:20 p.m., in the 3600 block of Riverside Avenue. When officers got to the scene they found a man dead in the driver’s seat of a Nissan pickup truck.
He was identified as Carlos Montes, 28, of San Bernardino.
Police said Montes was driving south on Riverside at high speeds toward the intersection of Agua Mansa Road.
“As Montes weaved in and out of traffic lanes toward the intersection, a Kenworth tractor pulling a trailer was exiting the south driveway in the 3600 block of S. Riverside Avenue,” police said.
