Rapid City,SD : Man killed after van rear-ends stalled bus on I-90 on December, Thursday 21st 2017

A 31-year-old man was killed Thursday night after his van crashed into a charter bus that had stalled on Interstate 90 near Rapid City.

The man's name was not released, pending notification of family.

According to South Dakota Highway Patrol, the crash occurred 20 miles east of Rapid City. The man was traveling eastbound on I-90 around 8:45 p.m. when the van he was driving rear-ended the charter bus.


The bus, which was carrying 56 passengers, had lost all power and came to a stop in the middle of both lanes, highway patrol said in a release. None of the lights on the vehicle were working at the time of the accident.
