Gainesville, FL : Man critically hurt in crash on NW 39th Avenue on February, Monday 12th 2018

A 65-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries when the car he was driving rear-ended another vehicle on Northwest 39th Avenue near Interstate 75 Monday morning.

Jerry Lee Strange of Newberry was listed in critical condition and taken to North Florida Regional Medical Center after the 8:19 a.m. crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A news release from FHP said Strange was driving east on 39th Avenue near Northwest 91st Street when his Buick hit a 2013 Hyundai Sonata that slowed for traffic in front of it.
