A 32-year-old Delavan man was killed in a motorcycle crash Monday morning northwest of Elkhorn, the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Sheriff's deputies and Elkhorn Fire and Recuse units were dispatched at 11:37 a.m. Monday to a report of a motorcycle versus tree crash at the intersection of Highway H and Sugar Creek Road in the Town of Sugar Creek.Deputies arrived and found the sole male rider next to a tree. Initial investigation revealed that the driver, Joshua Faber, was eastbound on Sugar Creek Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign at Highway H. The motorcycle continued across Highway H and into a ditch coming to rest against a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The crash remained under investigation as of Monday afternoon by the Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit and the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
