Seattle, WA : Man survives violent crash into power pole, tree in S. Seattle on Thursday night, October 30, 2014

A 23-year-old man was seriously injured after he lost control of his car and slammed into a power pole and a tree Thursday night in South Seattle, police say. Emergency responders went to the 7300 block of Airport Way South about 9:40 p.m. after receiving reports of a serious crash. When they arrived, the crumpled car was starting to catch fire. They found the man on the ground outside the car. Crews put out the fire and rushed the man to Harborview Medical Center.
