OMAHA, NE : Driver killed in fiery crash on Interstate 480 in Omaha on Monday, 11th March 2024

One person died in a fiery crash in Omaha on Monday night.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation reported a crash on I-480 northbound near Dodge Street that resulted in a car on fire around 7:30 p.m.

Omaha Police said a Ford Ranger crossed multiple lanes and struck a median before rolling twice and catching fire. The male driver was ejected.

The victim received CPR from citizens and medics at the scene before being transported to Nebraska Medicine where he died.
