Deer Park , NY : 28 People injured in Crash after school bus and truck collide at Long Island intersection on Friday ,February 13th 2015

Police on eastern Long Island say 28 people have been injured in a collision between a school bus and box truck. None of the injuries were believed to be serious.

Suffolk County police say the accident happened at about 7:50 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Deer Park Avenue and Seaman's Neck Road in Deer Park.

A school bus carrying 24 high school age students to a nearby technical school collided with a box truck.

The injured were taken to area hospitals for observation. Police say most had bumps and bruises.

Besides the students, a bus driver and attendant and the driver and passenger in the box truck also were injured.

No summonses were issued.
