Andrews County, TX : Edgar Daniel Matamoros, 29, died and Alfredo Martinez, 23, injured in Traffic Accident on Highway 115 in western Andrews County on Tuesday morning, April 21, 2015

An Andrews man was killed and another was injured following a traffic Tuesday morning in western Andrews County.

According to the DPS, the accident occurred on State Highway 115, approximately 11 miles west of Andrews, at 5:00 a.m.

Authorities say an Isuzu Rodeo was traveling east on Highway 115. The vehicle then ran off the road.

The driver, identified as Edgar Daniel Matamoros, 29, of Andrews was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The passenger, identified as Alfredo Martinez, 23, of Andrews was taken to Andrews Hospital with unknown injuries. He was treated and later released.
