Rockport, IN : Person killed after a wrong-way crash on Interstate 64 in Spencer County on Wednesday night, March 8, 2017

The name of the man who died after a wrong-way crash on Interstate 64 in Spencer County has been released.

According to Indiana State Police, the victim has been identified as 34-year-old Brandon Taylor, of Roanoke, VA.

The crash happened just before 9 Wednesday night on I-64 near the Dale exit.

Troopers say 56-year-old Sabrina Felton, of Roanoke, VA, was driving east had just driven around a semi when she encountered 89-year-old Rueben Boswell, of Henderson, KY.

State police say Boswell was driving west on I-64 in the eastbound passing lane. Felton tried to drive her car into the median but was unable to avoid a head-on crash with Boswell’s car.

Felton and Boswell were both taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville for non-life threatening injuries sustained in the crash.

Taylor, the front seat passenger in Felton’s vehicle, was flown by to St. Mary’s, where he died.

I-64 was closed for nearly four hours while crews worked the scene.
