NEWPORT NEWS, VA : Man dead, woman in serious condition after Newport News I-64 W tractor-trailer crash on Sunday, 17th November 2024

All lanes are back open on Interstate 64 West in Newport News, following a deadly early-morning crash involving a tractor-trailer.

The crash occurred by Exit 247 near Lee Hall around 3 a.m. According to Virginia State Police (VSP), the driver of a 2013 Hyundai Elantra was going westbound on I-64, ran off the roadway, and struck a 2023 International tractor-trailer that was stopped on the shoulder.
