Frederick,MD : Motorcyclist flown to hospital after two-vehicle crash in Frederick on January, Wednesday 24th 2018

A motorcyclist was flown to a hospital for treatment after a two-vehicle crash on Willowdale Drive earlier Wednesday, according to a Frederick Police Department news release.

Police were called to Willowdale Drive and Key Parkway at 11:07 a.m. Wednesday, the release states. Fire and rescue personnel requested a Maryland State Police helicopter to land nearby to fly the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment, but neither a police spokeswoman nor the department's news release specified how serious that person's injuries were.

The release had no details regarding what may have caused the crash, the direction that either vehicle was traveling, vehicle makes and models, or whether any charges were likely to result.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash declined to be taken to a hospital for treatment, the release states.
