WICHITA, KS : 4-year-old girl killed in southwest Wichita crash on Sunday, 19th February 2023

A child injured in a crash Sunday evening has died from her injuries.

The crash happened on West 39th St. South at 5:15 p.m. The Sedgwick County accident report shows the child's mother, 32-year-old Britne Costello, was behind the wheel when she ran off the road and hit a culvert. The car rolled three times. Three people were trapped in the wreckage.

A 4-year-old girl was critically injured. The accident report shows she died at a Wichita hospital Sunday evening. Costello and her two year-year-old child were taken to Wichita hospitals.
