Flowood, MS : One person died and and another injured after a car crash on Highway 25 near Pinelake Church on Wednesday afternoon, Sep 30, 2015

Flowood police said one person died and and another was injured after a car crash shortly before 2:00p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Police said a 2010 Honda Accord was traveling along Highway 25 near Pinelake Church in Flowood when it veered off the road and struck a pine tree.

Zachary Trenton Murray, 22, of Florence died at the scene, police said.

Police tell us the injured person was airlifted to a local hospital.

Police are still investigating this crash.
