HARRISON TOWNSHIP, OH : Person killed in 3-vehicle crash in Harrison Township identified on Tuesday, February 21st 2017
One woman is dead after a three-vehicle accident in Harrison Township.
The crash happened around 7:20 a.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of Shoup Mill Road and State Route 48.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies said a white 1994 Jeep Cherokee traveling eastbound and entered the intersection of Shoup Mill Road and State Route 48 against the red light. The Jeep hit a white 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt traveling south on State Route 48. The Jeep then also hit a brown 2011 Ford E350 passenger van.
The driver of the Jeep, a 51-year-old woman, died at the scene. The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has identified as Christine Bowyer of Vandalia.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 58-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and did not get treatment. The driver of the Ford, a 73-year-old man, and its two passengers were taken to area hospitals and are expected to be OK.
The crash remains under investigation.
