Pinellas Park, FL : One pedestrian killed, a second injured in Pinellas Park accident on Saturday night, October 18, 2014
Pinellas Park police have identified the pedestrian victims of a Saturday night accident.
Around 9:35 p.m. two women were running from the east side of 66th Street to the west side, at 126th Avenue North, police said. The women were struck by a 2002 Oldsmobile van, which was heading south on 66th Street, police said.
Dawn Marie Fattarusso, 40, of Clearwater, was killed at the scene. Rosemary Stone, 55, of Pinellas Park, is in critical condition at Bayfront Hospital.
The van’s driver, Tereza Allen, 58, of Largo, didn’t appear to be under the influence of any intoxicating substances or chemicals, police said. Allen was not injured.
Fattarusso and Stone were intoxicated at the time of the crash, police said.
Police are still investigating.
