Rapid city, SD : Three people injured in Multiple-vehicle collision blocks Interstate 90 on Saturday, November 8, 2014
Interstate 90 was blocked off for at least 90 minutes Saturday after a multiple-vehicle collision.
Law enforcement officials diverted all westbound traffic on the highway to Exit 48 following the collision, which happened between Summerset and Piedmont.
Two ambulances and numerous Highway Patrol and police vehicles were at the scene of the collision, which happened at about 7:30 p.m. At least three vehicles were totaled at the scene.
One sedan ended up on the westbound lane of I-90, and another vehicle could be seen on the median between the highway lanes.
In an unrelated accident, a driver lost control and the vehicle flipped over several times, then landed in a field north of the eastbound lane of I-90.
The number of people injured and the extent of the injuries was unavailable as of press time.
