Laconia, N.H : Two motorcyclists injured in crash in Laconia early Monday morning, June 13, 2016

Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in a crash that left two motorcyclists injured early Monday morning in Laconia, according to police.

Jamie Doolan, 42, of New York, was traveling on a Harley Davidson with a passenger, when the bike struck a light tower at the intersection of Scenic and Watson Road just before 2:30 a.m.

Doolan and a 50-year-old woman were thrown nearly 30 feet from the motorcycle, police said. Doolan broke his wrist. The woman sustained several pelvic fractures and was taken to a Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital.

Police charged Doolan with felony DWI after talking with him at the scene. He was released on bail.

Doolan is scheduled to appear in court on June 16.
