Toledo, OH : John D. Rogers Jr, 51, killed in a single-vehicle crash on Alexis Road early Tuesday morning, March 31, 2015

A single-vehicle crash that killed a Marysville, Ohio man in West Toledo remained under investigation Tuesday, authorities said.

John Rogers, Jr., 51, who was driving, was pronounced dead at the scene, Toledo police said.

Mr. Rogers was driving east on West Alexis Road near Douglas Road around 3:05 a.m. Tuesday when for unknown reasons he suddenly veered left, causing the vehicle to drive off the left side of the road and strike a tree, police said.

The crash remained under investigation.
