A Marengo man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Delaware County Tuesday evening, the State Highway Patrol said.
Daniel T. Bertram, 48, died at the scene of the crash at the intersection of Route 52 and Delaware County Road 34 in Kingston Township in northern Delaware County, the patrol’s Delaware post reported.
Bertram was driving north on County Road 34 in a Toyota Camry when he failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck on State Route 521 by Max Mahle, 16, of Sunbury, who was driving a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, the patrol said.
The Delaware County coroner pronounced Bertram dead at the scene.
Mahle and his passenger, Edward A. Mahle, 71, of Galena, Ohio, were transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
All involved were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.
