Accomac, VA : Man killed when a charter bus struck, he tried to cross Route 13 in Accomack County early Tuesday, March 31, 2015
A charter bus driver faces charges of leaving the scene after the vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian in Virginia.
Virginia State Police say 66-year-old Brice Sauver was trying to cross Route 13 in Accomack County when he was hit by the bus. The accident occurred around 3 a.m. Tuesday near a Perdue factory in Accomac.
State police say the driver, 36-year-old Jihua Chen of Flushing, New York, stopped the bus and searched the immediate area, and then left the scene.
State police located the bus and charged Chen.
The bus is owned by United Bus & Travel Inc. of Fresh Meadows, New York.
