Jonesboro, AR : One person injured after a head-on collision Friday afternoon, March 31, 2017

A head-on collision Friday afternoon sent one person to the hospital.

The crash happened just after 2 p.m. near the intersection of County Roads 333 and 340.

Craighead County Deputy Shannon Simino said a southbound truck veered into the northbound lane, striking a northbound truck.

The driver of the southbound truck, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.

The driver of the other truck and two passengers were uninjured.

Officers shut down the roadway temporarily as crews worked to tow the vehicles from the scene.
