Salem, OR : Driver dies, another critically injured in crash northeast of Salem on Wednesday night, Nov 11, 2015

One driver died and another was critically injured in an overnight crash on the outskirts of Salem.

Marion County Sheriff’s deputies were called out to Cordon Road NE near Ward Drive on reports of a two-car crash.

The crash has claimed the life of one driver and critically injured the other, the sheriff’s office said. There were no passengers in either car, investigators said.

This was the second deadly car crash that deputies responded to within 24 hours.
