Galveston, TX : Four students injured in school bus crash on Wednesday October 26th 2016

Four students were transported to the hospital after a Clear Creek Independent School District bus was involved in an accident at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of El Dorado Boulevard.
The bus was headed to Clear Lake High School. While the bus traveled east on El Dorado through a green light, a white Volkswagen Passat headed north ran a red light on El Camino and hit the bus, officials said.
Thirty-four students were on the bus at the time. Students who weren’t transported to the hospital were put on a different bus and taken to Clear Lake High School, school district officials said.
The four injured students had minor injuries and emergency responders took them to Clear Lake Regional Hospital, officials with Harris County Constable Precinct 8 said. The driver of the car also had minor head injuries and responders took the driver to Bay Area Regional Medical Center.
Precinct 8 has asked the district attorney’s office for permission to get a blood test on the car’s driver, officials said.
