Volusia County, FL : 2 dead after 3-vehicle crash in Volusia on Tuesday, 16th March 2021

Two Apopka women were killed Tuesday morning when their car veered into oncoming traffic in Volusia County.

At about 7:05 a.m., the 27-year-old driver of a 2005 Toyota Corolla was driving east on New York Avenue when, for unknown reasons, she drove into the westbound lanes, hitting a van head-on, according to the Florida Highway Patrol’s Lt. Kim Montes.

She and her 20-year-old female passenger were killed.

The crash took place near the intersection of Deland Crossing Boulevard.
