Cookeville,TN : Putnam County father arrested after toddler daughter hit by car on Tuesday August 11th 2015

A Putnam County father was arrested on Tuesday after his 17-month-old daughter was hit by a car.
Police said Timothy Wayne Webb was supposed to be watching the child when she wandered off from their home on West Broad Street and walked along Highway 70 West. The child was hit by a car near the Dipsy Doodle Restaurant and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. She has since been released and is said to be OK.
Police said the driver, Ronnie Bruce Winningham, did not "contribute" to the crash.
Webb is charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect. His bond was set at $50,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.He is also facing unrelated charges for violation of probation and an attachment for not paying child support.
