Seminole County, FL : Two men killed after a head-on collision along State Road 417 in Seminole County on Saturday, August 23, 2014

Two people were killed early Saturday morning in a wrong-way collision along State Road 417 in Seminole County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Noel T. Alvarado, 30, or Orlando, was traveling northbound in the inside lane of southbound State Road 417 around 1:50 a.m., nearing Red Bug Lake Road. Dr. David Briones, 57, of Orlando, was traveling southbound in the inside lane of southbound State Road 417. Alvarado struck Briones head on, according to the report. Both drivers died at the scene. Briones was an emergency room physician at Central Florida Regional Hospital, in Sanford. Briones had just finished his shift in the emergency room and was on his way home when the crash happened.
