Sacramento, CA : Four people were injured on Highway 99 on Tuesday, August 15, 2017

Four people were injured about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 99 south of Red Bluff, in a collision involving two cars and two semi trucks.

Donna Byrd, 29, of Red Bluff was reportedly headed south on 99 approaching Cone Grove Road, about 55 mph in a 2012 Ford, she tried to pass a semi truck, but another semi truck was in the north.

The northbound trucker swerved onto the shoulder, but Byrd’s vehicle hit it, then the southbound semi, and then hit a 2013 Honda driven by Daniel Graubart, 57, of Chico, head-on.

Byrd was taken to Enloe Medical Center in Chico. Graubart and his two passengers, Tracy Graubart, 56, and Kaya Duncan, 3, all of Chico, were taken to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff with minor injuries.
