SUV crash killed one person on I-71
One person is dead after their SUV rear-ended an Ohio Department of Transportation dump truck on I-71 early Wednesday and police say alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The wreck happened at about 1 a.m. on NB I-71 near the Smith Edwards exit.
When officers arrived at the scene they found a Range Rover SUV had struck the ODOT dump truck in a rear-end collision.
The ODOT worker was inside his truck when the SUV crashed into him.
The driver of the Range Rover was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The name of the victims or any further details have not been released at this time.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Norwood Police Department.
