Southampton, NJ : One person was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer early Monday morning in Burlington County on May 12th 2014
A pedestrian has been struck and killed by a vehicle, shutting down Route 70 in Southampton Township, Burlington County.
It happened before 5:30 a.m. Monday, at the start of the morning rush hour.
New Jersey State Police tell Action News the pedestrian was struck and killed, and one person is being questioned at the scene.
There was no immediate word what led to the deadly accident.
Route 70 has been closed in both directions between Route 541 and New Road.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
