CROCKERY TWP, MI : One killed in early morning crash on I-96 near Nunica on Monday, 27th August 2018

One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning on I-96 near the 12 mile marker, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.Deputies and Crockery Township firefighters responded to the westbound lanes of the highway near Nunica just before 3 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2003 Buick was westbound on I-96, left the road, went into a heavily wooded area of the median and struck some trees.

The driver suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
