Milwaukee, WI : Woman dead and two were injured in a following an early Wednesday morning crash in Milwaukee on July 30th 2014
A woman is dead following an early-morning crash in Milwaukee.
The two-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of South 11th and West Mitchell streets around 3:15 a.m.
Lt. Mark Stanmeyer said a 30-year-old Milwaukee man driving a silver Grand Am ran a red light on South 11th Street and struck the passenger side of a black Honda Accord driven by a 28-year-old Milwaukee man.
Stanmeyer said 27-year-old Jennifer Camacho-Torres, who was a passenger in the Honda, died at the scene. The two drivers were taken to Froedtert Hospital with head injuries.
Jorge Lopez owns the bakery on the corner of the intersection. He believes it could have been even worse.
"Shock, just extreme shock. I mean, the way the cars were mangled that anyone would survive something like that. Unfortunately, someone didn't," Lopez said.
Stanmeyer said charges against the Grand Am's driver are under consideration.
