Palmyra, MO : Two teens injured in crash near Palmyra on Saturday morning, July 2, 2016

Two teenagers were taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., with moderate injuries Saturday morning after a crash five miles west of Palmyra.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Brock J. Smith, 17, of Maywood, was heading east on Mo. 138 at 8:35 a.m. when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road and overturned before coming to a rest off the road.

Passenger Preston W. Lay, 17, of Palmyra, and Smith were taken to the hospital by Marion County Ambulance. A patrol report said both were wearing seat belts.

Assisting were the Marion County Sheriff's Department and Palmyra Fire Department.
