HENRY COUNTY, VA : Bassett man killed in weekend crash on Sunday, 21st January 2024

A Bassett man has been identified as the victim of a crash in Henry County Saturday,

Maurice O’Neal Washington, 56, died at the scene, according to Virginia State Police.

Police say the crash occurred at 11:01 p.m. on Route 684, four tenths of a mile south of Route 1163 in Henry County.

Washington was driving an Audi Q5 northbound, ran off the left side of the road and hit the concrete pillars.

Virginia State Police are investigating the crash.
