Woman was killed in a crash in Madison
A woman was killed Saturday night in a crash in northern Davidson County.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said 52-year-old Carolyn Lumley was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and three other vehicles.
The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. on Old Hickory Boulevard in Madison.
Police said Lumley was a passenger on a motorcycle being driven by her husband, Thomas. While they were pulling out of their private drive, the motorcycle was struck by an Oldsmobile heading east on Old Hickory Boulevard.
Both Thomas and Carolyn Lumley were thrown from the motorcycle. As a result of the crash, two other cars collided into the back of the Oldsmobile.
Thomas and Carolyn Lumley, along with the other driver, were transported Vanderbilt University Medical Center where Carolyn was pronounced deceased. Thomas and the other driver were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The drivers of the other two vehicles were not injured in the crash.
Police said there no evidence of alcohol was found at the scene.
