SOUTH BOSTON, MA : 4-year-old girl hit and killed by car in South Boston on Sunday, 24th March 2024

A young girl was hit and killed by a car Sunday evening in South Boston.

It happened at the intersection of Congress and Sleeper streets at 5:06 p.m. Police said the 4-year-old girl, who was with family at the time, was taken to Mass General, where she died.

"It's very, very tough to hear," said South Boston resident Joseph Alibali.

Police investigated the scene, collected evidence and interviewed the driver involved but no arrests were made. Neighbors who live nearby called it a horrible accident.
