PELHAM, NH : Pelham man charged with DUI after crash at the intersection of Dutton and Leblanc roads on Wednesday, 12th December 2018
A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Dutton and Leblanc roads on Wednesday led to the arrest of a Pelham man who was under the influence of alcohol, authorities say.
Joao Aguiar, 55, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and aggravated driving while intoxicated, according to a Pelham Police Department press release.
An investigation determined Francis Gorman, 41, of Dracut, was driving his 2018 Toyota Tundra west on Dutton Road, when he slowed to make a left turn onto Leblanc Road, police said. Gorman's vehicle was then rear-ended by a 2005 Ford F150, driven by Aguiar.
Further investigation determined alcohol impairment as a factor in the crash, police said.
Both drivers suffered minor injuries in the accident.
