Three people were taken to Lubbock hospitals after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US 87 and County Road 7500 Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened around 3 p.m., according to Sgt. John Gonzalez with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Investigators believe Megan Reels, 20, of Lubbock, was traveling eastbound on County Road 7500 in a Buick passenger car and disregarded a stop sign. Reels pulled out in front of a Dodge pickup driven by Betty Atkinson, 60, of Lubbock, who was traveling southbound on US 87.
Reels was taken to University Medical Center and Atkinson and a female minor who was with her were taken to Covenant. Gonzalez said all had incapacitating injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
