Monore ,IN : 2 persons killed in car-minivan crash in NE Indiana; 2 children among 5 also hurt on Saturday Morning ,July 25th 2015

A coroner has identified two people who were killed in a northeastern Indiana crash that also injured five others.

Adams County Coroner Leslie Cook said Monday that 21-year-old Tonia L. Valenzuela and 34-year-old David M. Sweat, both of Bluffton, were pronounced dead at the scene from multiple injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts.

The two-vehicle collision occurred about 10 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of State Route 124 and U.S. 27 near the town of Monroe, about 25 miles south of Fort Wayne.

Sheriff's deputies say the car driven by Valenzuela was struck by a minivan driven by 34-year-old Jessica Love of Decatur.

They say Love, two children in her minivan and two adult passengers in Valenzuela's car were hospitalized with injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
