LEXINGTON, VA : Elderly man dead in Rockbridge Co. crash on April, saturday 15th 2017

A 71-year-old man is dead after a car wreck in Rockbridge County.

WSET-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2p5PrjZ ) Roy Wade Swisher was driving his pickup truck on Route 719 near Route 613 at around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday and ran off the roadway. Swisher then veered the other way, crossing the yellow line, and struck a guardrail.

Police say Swisher was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck and was pronounced dead on the scene.
