GREAT FALLS, MT : Two new officers and one new crash investigator sworn in to the Great Falls on Wednesday, 2nd January 2019

“It’s not a usual job, it’s not a job where you go 8-5 and you come home and you leave things at work,” said Judge Bolstad before getting ready to swear in new GFPD officers and one new crash investigator on Wednesday morning.

Taylor Crouch and Nicholas Watson will head to the Montana Law Enforcement Academy on Monday, January 7 to begin their 12 weeks of training.

Crouch will take on badge number 338 and Watson will take on badge number 339.

Crouch said he’s excited to get his hands dirty and start the job, ““I wouldn’t say I’ve always wanted to do it but I’ve been thinking about it a lot recently.”

Watson on the other hand has been wanting to be a police officer for as long as he can remember, “Since I’ve been a little kid it’s always been a dream I’ve had. My father was in law enforcement when I was growing up, so yeah it was always something I’ve thought about.”

Watson said he is most looking forward to serving his community.

Hayden Meek was also sworn in this morning as a new crash investigator. He will take on badge number 885.

Meek will have the duties as crash investigator until a new spot in the academy opens up.

All three men swore to support, protect and defend the constitution of the United States and the constitution of the state of Montana.
