Palm Beach, FL : Woman injured in tractor-trailer crash in Palm Beach on Thursday, December 22nd 2016
A Singer Island woman was taken to the hospital Thursday morning after Palm Beach Police said she was injured when she rear-ended a flatbed tractor-trailer on Cocoanut Row.
The crash happened at 10:43 a.m. on Cocoanut Row at the intersection of Antigua Lane, according to Officer Anthony DeJesse.
DeJesse said a northbound flatbed tractor-trailer had stopped at the red light at Antigua Lane when a gold Mercedes sedan rear-ended it.
The driver of the Mercedes, Lauren Newman, 53, of Singer Island was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, according to DeJesse. She was charged with a failure to use due care traffic violation.
Both directions of traffic on Cocoanut Row were rerouted for about 45 minutes.
