An Ormond Beach man is in critical condition after a three-car crash near Ormond Beach closed the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 on Friday morning.
Edward Stephen Ousley, 55, of Ormond Beach, was ejected from the rear window of his Pontiac after it went out of control and sideswiped a 2013 Subaru driven by Lori Wolfe, 49, of Ormond Beach, said Sgt. Kim Montes, Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman. The Pontiac then went into the median and struck a guard rail.
The third car, a 2008 Dodge Charger driven by Kevin Riley of Palm Coast, couldn’t avoid the Pontiac and rear-ended the car, sending Ousley out the back window. Ousley, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was critically injured and was being treated at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach on Friday, Montes said.
Neither Wolfe nor Riley were injured and both were wearing seat belts, Montes said.
